Remove Signature from Outlook on Desktop (Windows/Mac)

If you use Microsoft Outlook on Windows or Mac, you can easily delete or change your signature in the Outlook Options menu.


Classic Outlook

Windows

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select File, Options, Mail, Signatures.
  3. Delete any existing signatures or make sure the "New messages" and "Replies/forwards" default signature is set to (none).


Outlook on Mac

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Select Outlook, then Settings in the top toolbar.
  3. Under Email, select Signatures.
  4. Delete any existing signatures or make sure the "New messages" and "Replies/forwards" default signature is set to None.


Outlook Online / New Outlook

Windows:

  1. Open Outlook on your Windows or Mac computer.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner.

  3. In the Outlook Settings window, click Accounts.
  4. Go to Signatures.

  5. In the Select signature to edit section, choose the signature you want to remove.
  6. Click Delete or clear the signature text manually.

  7. Under Select default signature, set New messages and Replies/forwards to (No signature).

Mac:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Go to Outlook in the top menu bar > Preferences.
  3. Click Signatures.
  4. Find the signature you want to remove.
  5. Select it and click the minus (-) button.
    Save changes.

Remove Signature from Outlook Web (OWA)

  1. Go to outlook.office.com and sign in.
  2. Click the Settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner.

  3. In the Outlook Settings window, go to Accounts.
  4. Navigate to Signatures.
  5. In the Select signature to edit section, choose the signature you want to remove.

  6. Click Delete or clear the signature text manually.
  7. Under Select default signature, set New messages and Replies/forwards to (No signature).

Remove Signature from Outlook Mobile App

Android:

  1. Open the Outlook app.
  2. Tap the menu button (top left), then tap Settings (gear icon).
  3. Tap Signature.
  4. Delete the text in the signature box to remove it.
  5. Tap the checkmark to save.

iOS:

  1. Open Outlook app.
  2. Tap your profile icon (top left), then Settings (gear icon).
  3. Scroll to Signature.

iPhone Native Mail Application

  1. Navigate to iPhone Settings.
  2. Search for the Mail app and remove contents under Signature.
